Description

The practitioner stands in a wide stance with one leg bent and the other extended.

From this position, the upper body moves in a large circular motion. The torso rotates toward the bent side, lowers toward the extended leg, and continues upward in a smooth circular path.

The arms follow naturally and assist in maintaining flow.

After several repetitions, the sides are switched.

Purpose

  • increase mobility in spine and hips
  • improve rotational control of the torso
  • stretch hips and posterior chain
  • prepare for rotational techniques

Key technical points

  • large continuous movement
  • rotation driven by the torso
  • full-body coordination
  • controlled rhythm

Comment

This exercise integrates upper and lower body movement and develops rotation essential for power generation.
